Banana flowers: photos, cuisine suggestions






Banana flowers contain vitamins A and C, calcium, iron, potassium and magnesium. It is considered to be health food and has been used for many centuries in different cuisines.

It is also a great conversation-starter. I had this Bengali lady who came over to our place and she got so excited when she saw the banana flowers because she hadn't had it for ages. That really broke the ice!
